Because our brains and mental health deserve precision medicine for the greater good

The Women’s Brain Foundation (WBF) is an international non-profit organization based in Switzerland harnessing the brilliance of a global team of scientists. We are experts from various disciplines who work with patients towards the implementation of sex and gender within precision medicine, from basic science to novel technologies. We conduct, coordinate, support, and advance research related to sex and gender differences with the aim of advancing precision medicine. We act as an incubator and accelerator of innovation of women’s health. We focus our research and advocacy especially on diseases of the brain, but not exclusively.

In A Plea for All Humankind: A Petition for Excellence and Precision in Science

As we celebrate our first anniversary as a foundation, we are asking for one simple but powerful gift from you: YOUR VOICE.

We invite you to sign and share our petition for Excellence and Precision in Science, a global call to action demanding that scientific and medical research, drug development, and healthcare systems embrace sex- and gender-informed approaches. Precision medicine cannot be precise if half of the population remains underrepresented, overlooked, or misdiagnosed. Ignoring these factors is not just poor science—it is negligence.

WE NEED 10,000 SIGNATURES

Join us in making history. Please read, sign and share the petition.

"From patients'
differences to patients'
characteristics, to achieve precision medicine and render healthcare systems sustainable."

Dr. Antonella Santuccione Chadha

Our story

It all began in 2017 with the Women’s Brain Project, where a small group of like-minded individuals took action on the unmet needs of women in brain health and research. In 2021, through the generous contributions of Dr. Antonella Santuccione Chadha, who donated the monetary proceeds from her prestigious World Sustainability Award, along with the support of numerous pro bono professionals, scientists, and global donors like Mrs. Mara Hank Moret, we were able to establish the Women’s Brain Foundation in March 2024. This foundation continues the legacy of addressing women’s brain health.

This evolution marks a new chapter, fortified by sustainable support and strategic vision.  Building on the pioneering work of the Women’s Brain Project Association, we are dedicated to advancing research, raising awareness, and addressing the unique challenges faced by women in brain health.  With continued support, we aim to inspire, innovate, and impact lives for years to come.
